Art Direction and Design for the Documentary Series “100h・REC”

Project

The documentary series “100h・REC” is now streaming on Hulu. The series follows world-class stars through the eyes of their closest partners, capturing 100 hours of their lives behind the scenes. It was also broadcast on Nippon TV. The series features Ran Takahashi, a member of Japan’s men’s national volleyball team, and Aiko Sugihara, a member of Japan’s women’s national gymnastics team. Narration is provided by Kaito Takahashi of King & Prince, while the complete version, including unreleased footage, is exclusively available on Hulu.

IN FOCUS was responsible for the program logo, the overall art direction of the series, and the direction and design of the motion graphics used throughout the program. Breaking away from the conventions of traditional behind-the-scenes documentaries, the visual direction combines intimate, close-up footage with a refined aesthetic to create the program’s distinctive visual world.
